The boy at the back of the class is an adventure to save a refugee boy, named Ahmet who ran away from war. Ahmet is nine years old just like Alexa, but he doesn’t speak English. During the break, he is taken out and stays inside. That is when Alexa and her friends come up with a plan…

In this book, I like how it teaches you about the problems around the world but in a fun and enjoyable way. I dislike how it doesn’t describe much about what Ahmet did in the break and should have focused on him more.

I recommend this book to children aged 7 and upwards, as it is factual and enjoyable. It is quite a lot to take in and younger readers will struggle to understand and will enjoy other books. I give this 4 and a half out of 5, just because it doesn’t describe Ahmet’s time at break or at his English home very much.
